Hi, I’m Lori and I'm here to share my story with you. I am an active persona and I consider myself to be “fit.” My definition of fit is having both cardiovascular health as well as strength/ There are many levels of “fit” out there and I feeling into perhaps the “Intermediate” category. Along our fitness journeys, I believe all of us fluctuate between being really happy where we are, and being unhappy with our condition. I was at the “unhappy” stage, dealing with my shoulder and knee injuries, weakness, and imbalance in my body. This is when I decided to make a change and commit to training sessions with 212 Degree Personal Training.
I began my journey with Nic in late February of 2017. I’ve been seeing Nic two times per week for the last 4 ½ months. Nic Tailored my entire program to cater to me specifically, with a huge emphasis on correcting my muscles imbalances, rehab for my injuries and of course my fitness goals. We started in foundation, where we focused on the primal movements patterns and ensure that I was able to move healthy and properly. Once I was able to get my functional movement patterns working properly we were able to transition into the build phase. This is where we focused on building muscle, lifting heavier weights with lower reps to really encourage muscle growth. From there entered burn phase, which is exactly what you would expect from something called “burn.” Definitely not for the faint of heart, but sooo worth it.
Coming into this, I knew I had my work cut out for me. I also know that Nic would be amazing to work with. She is so incredibly knowledgeable in her profession. Her motivation and encouragement, combined with her expert coaching is a magic blend. I wholeheartedly believe that this is the reasons why I’ve made the progress that I have.
For me, accountability is key for success. I could make excuses (“I don’t have time, or I have too much on my plate today”) but after choosing the make the commitment to show up and Nic’s door 2x a week, I was stoked to get thing rolling.
I have seen huge changes in these four short months. I’m stronger, more balanced, leaner, my movement is healthier, and I feel so accomplished. Everyone is on their own fitness journey. Right now this is mine and I am loving it…every sore muscle, every bead of sweat, every “personal best” I am reaching. I’m in this for the long run, only good things can come from it and I look forward to see what’s in store for me.
I know Nic will keep me on my toes, switching things up and continually surprising my body. THE RESULTS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES. I can’t thank you enough, Nic!
