WEIGHT LOSS, CONFIDENCE & INDEPENDENCE

When I first started with Nic 2 years ago I really didn't know what to expect, I was nervous and embarrassed because I really had NO idea what to do when it came to working out.

 

Well that first meeting with her made me feel relaxed and reminded me we all need to start somewhere and today is my day 1. She promised me she was there to help and gave me the tools and knowledge to get to where I wanted to go.

I started really making progress with weight loss and my confidence even to a point where I could walk into any gym and know what I was doing without feeling embarrassed or intimidated by others there.

 

Nic worked with me to better understand my food and what healthier choices look like. Nic put me on her app which helped me gain some independence and learn self-accountability. This allowed her to still track my progress and load specific workouts to the app that I would need to complete. The app also synced my fitness watch, and my fitness pal account so she can see my full progress.

CHRONIC PAIN RECOVERY

"I am a 53-year-old female who was very active in my youth playing numerous sports, which I enjoyed very much. But life happens, and between having health issues and suffering multiple injuries, I had pretty much given up on believing I was ever going to live pain-free. A friend of mine, who had been training with Nic for about 2 years, suggested I try working out with her. I loved Nic’s philosophies, but the thing that appealed to me most was her functional training. I originally was struggling with major pain in my neck and shoulder, this made me a bit apprehensive to start any sort of resistance training program, but I felt so frustrated and everything else I had tried felt like a band-aid and not a long-term solution. Nic suggested I come and do some Fascia Stretching Therapy & Restorative Movement Patterns and tendon health protocol with her for the month. These movements, she said, would help break the pain cycle. I was skeptical, but I decided to give it a try because I love training with her - she is motivational, passionate, and very knowledgeable. I am very happy I did! It took the full month, but my neck and shoulder pain are now gone. She is now slowly introducing me back to bodyweight movements, with tempo control and a better understanding of pain and how to address it. I have every confidence that I will live a life of physical freedom and achieve my fitness goals and I’m very happy I joined 212 degrees." -CH
